As an Estimator at our Kansas City Office,  Jackson helps us complete the pre-construction budgeting process. What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this? You’d probably find me riding my bike through the French Alps, chasing mountain views and hairpin turns. What do you like to do when you are not working? I am a big bike rider and racer. I race bikes all over the KC area and all different types of bikes, road, gravel, mountain bikes, and track bikes. If anyone wants to go for a bike ride, let me know! Best career lesson you have learned so far? Just show up. Being reliably present and on time shows respect to the people you work with and builds trust. It’s simple, but it makes a huge difference. What keeps you motivated at work? The team. Knowing we’re all working toward the same goal, and that my work directly contributes to our success, keeps me focused and driven. What is the most rewarding part of your job? Seeing a project actually get built. After months of budgeting, estimating, and negotiating, standing in front of a finished structure, and knowing you played a part in making it real. That’s the best part. One thing you cannot resist? Coming up on 1 year with Jaco, Kevin’s been busy wrapping up big projects and kicking off new ones in Elk River and Conway, AR. He’s a lake-loving, Whataburger-craving, Old Fashioned fan who once needed 60+ stitches from a wakeboarding mishap. Glad to have you on the team, Kevin! 💪   How long have you been with the company? My 1 year is coming up in August. What project(s) are you currently working on? I am finishing up Zero Point in Wichita, finishing up LSTC Sartell, starting LSTC in Elk River, and getting ready to start Dunkin Donuts in Conway, AR. Favorite memory during your time at Jaco? Max’s Happy Gilmore swing at the Jaco golf tournament. What is/are on your bucket list? I would like to go to Australia someday. I also want to build a Shelby Kit Cobra car someday. Favorite place to eat? I am a sucker for Whataburger, but for a fancy nice place, I love Fogo de Chao. Just all kinds of steaks and meats. Drink of choice? Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve. Favorite season? Summer, lake season. If you could have a career in anything, what would it be? I love watching the stock market and learning about businesses, so I think in another life I could’ve pursued something with stock trading, but I could also never live in New York, so it just wouldn’t work. Custom Home Builder. What do you like to do when you are not working? Spend time with family/friends. Best career lesson you have learned so far? Tomorrow is a new day. What keeps you motivated at work? Desire to build. What is the most rewarding part of your job? Getting to build various projects. Greatest fear? Skydiving. Best place you have traveled to? Mexico. Caden started at Jaco this May. As an Assistant Project Manager, Caden supports project managers by coordinating tasks, writing contracts. tracking progress, managing documentation, and ensuring timelines and budgets are met.   What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this? Preferably, I would have a piece of land and raise cattle. What do you like to do when you are not working? I enjoy working out, hunting, fishing, and spending time with my dog and family. Best career lesson you have learned so far? Life is all about relationships; Relationships matter more than knowledge. Skills open doors, but it’s trust and connections that keep them open and move you forward. What keeps you motivated at work? Colossians 3:23 “23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” I try to always have this verse on my heart. It helps me to maintain focused on what truly my purpose is. What is the most rewarding part of your job? Meet Max O'Neill, one of Jaco's talented Project Managers. With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork, Max plays a key role in delivering successful projects for our clients. We're proud to have him on the team!   How long have you been with the company? I have been with Jaco for two and half years.   What project(s) are you currently working on? I am currently working on two exciting projects: the “City Wide Office Remodel” project, and the “Goodwill Training Center”.   Favorite memory during your time at Jaco? One of my favorite memories at Jaco is witnessing the incredible growth of the Kansas City office and having the opportunity to be a part of that journey.   What is/are on your bucket list? A dream of mine is to visit Ireland, where my extended family has owned and lived above a pub for generations.   Favorite place to eat? My favorite restaurant is Lidia’s Italian in downtown Kansas City — their food never disappoints. Drink of choice? When it comes to drinks, I enjoy a well-crafted IPA. Favorite season? Summer is my favorite season – perfect weather to get the boat out and hit the lake. If you could have a career in anything, what would it be? If I weren’t in construction, I would have pursued a career in Archaeology. Any fun facts you’d like to share? I’m currently working on my 17th project with Jaco and just moved into a new home this month.
